4 Easy Steps to Removing Wallpaper

How to Remove Wallpaper Easily (without a Steamer)

If you have paperbacked wallpaper on your walls and are struggling to get it off, we have put together an easy 4 step process to help you out.

There is a big myth that a Steamer is the best tool to remove it, this is BS, don't bother, they are a gimmick & will do nothing more than annoy you.

Step 1.

Lay towels down at the base of the wall to protect your flooring. Remove as much of the top layer of the wallpaper as you can by finding a corner edge & pulling it towards you. (if you can't get the top layer off move onto Step 2)

Step 2.

Fill a 5L garden pump sprayer with water & saturate the wallpaper on the wall, starting from the bottom, spraying upwards (this will reduce the excess water running onto the floor)

Step 3.

Go and make yourself a coffee or have a beer. You must allow the water to soak through the paper - approx 10 minutes.

Step 4.

Go back and grab a corner & gently start pulling the wallpaper off. Some wallpapers are stubborn, so you may need to repeat Steps 2 & 3.

If all goes well then you should be able to remove your wallpaper like Aidan from Cutting Edge Wallpapering has in this video.

Now that your Wallpaper is off your wall - buy one of our Removable Wallpapers so you never have to do that again!
